Celebration!
Worship is a very integral part of what we do as a church. Everything we do at Burnett Fellowship flows out of our church Vision, Mission and Purpose Statements. The style of music, the lyrical content, the manor in which it is presented and the level of quality and professionalism are all geared in support of the church purposes. Worship team members are totally committed to following the Vision, Mission and Purpose Statements of the church.
Each weekend we celebrate God’s presence with music and words you can relate to. Our services provide a weekly glimpse of God’s practical power and invite participants to feel the comfort of His loving support.
What Makes Worship At Burnett Different?
A. Focus On The Heart
Worship needs to focus on the heart and speak to the worshipper in the language of the day. Archaic language and foreign liturgical practices are not part of our services. The worship is contemporary! Often church music reflects the styles favored by another generation. Instead, we play music that the present generation can relate to.
B. Relevant Songs
Eight out of ten people in Canada believe in God but only two out of ten attend church. Canadians like God but they don’t feel the church is addressing their needs in a relevant way. Our worship teams work hard to ensure that our songs are never boring or difficult to learn and sing. The songs are positive, upbeat and relate to everyday life in a language and a musical style that visitors can understand and enjoy.
C. Relevant Messages
Every week the message is designed to relate to everyday life. When people walk out of the service we want them to carry truth that will help them live during the week. We believe that God speaks to us today through a combination of the message and the music in a very powerful way.
Our Passion...
Burnett dreams of responding to a changing society in need of the simple message of the Bible. In our mind, implementing change is a serious attempt to follow Christ in meeting the unmet spiritual needs of our fellow Canadians even if others misunderstand our dream.
